The selection of suitable sites is the most important step in any photovoltaic project development. KLM Development Romania has its own GIS team in Germany and Romania and uses professional tools such as QGIS and FME for automated site analysis.
We identify exclusion areas, analyze grid proximity and spatial planning and systematically evaluate potentials - technically, legally and economically.

Our experience shows that the following properties in particular speak in favor of a positive evaluation:
At least 5 ha of contiguous land (more is advantageous)
Flat, unsealed terrain (field, fallow land, industrial wasteland)
Location close to the grid with 20 kV / 110 kV / 400 kV transformer stations
Good accessibility via public roads
Developable under planning law (PUZ or intravilan rezoning possible)
